Bio
A graduate of the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, a diploma in the studio of prof. Wojciech Zubala. He also studied in the studio of prof. Stanisław Baj and former prof. Wojciech Cieśniewski. Jerzy Baranowski specializes in oil and acrylic painting. He attaches great importance to the workshop including drawing. He deals with both abstraction and figuration. Besides geometrical abstraction, expressed in a minimalist manner – the closest to him is magical realism, which can be seen especially in the artist’s earlier works.
