Bio

Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice (2013), she lives and works in Wrocław. The painter’s work balances on the border between abstract and figurative painting. The surrealist imagery is often filled with an sense of anxiety. The greatest inspiration in J.E’s work is the language of emotions and the sensuality and ability of material things to introduce narrative. In her complexed, sometimes even baroque painting compositions, she depicts scenes whose meaning she meticulously conceals between layers of paint. The painter considers the person solving the riddle of a painting’s meaning to be its co-author. The artist has taken part in many exhibitions in Poland and her paintings can be found in numerous private collections.
