Bio
A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw. He obtained a diploma in painting in the studio of Prof. Marian Waldemar Kuczma and the multimedia studio of Prof. Paweł Jarodzki—a member of the Association of Polish Artists in Wroclaw.
In his works, mostly on the border between abstraction and landscape, he depicts the transience and fragility of matter set in an undefined scenery. Although his paintings remain open to interpretations, evoke associations, and stir emotions, the author strives to determine whether they are more a reflection of private experiences or elements of the surrounding social and natural environment. He sometimes adds figurative or symbolic motifs. He has exhibited his works in group and solo exhibitions in Wrocław, Bolesławiec, Legnica, Lubin, and Warsaw.
Rafal’s art encourages us to start a conversation, to contemplate. Personally, while contemplating his metaphorical compositions, I find in them extraordinary beauty and elements of specific ambiguities, symbolism, or reference to nature. – prof. Marian Waldemar Kuczma
