Continuation of the series “Home Chores” by Michalina Garus
“I don’t seek to make daily and monotonous household chores, which are usually the woman’s domain, a lofty and exalted activity in my painting. Rather, I show them as scenes of a temporary “nonexistence”, moments frozen in time, oblivious to heroine of the depicted scenes. The paintings are sort of an intimate diary documenting prosaic and mundane situations. There’s also these feelings of loneliness and time looping both accompanied by tremendous sense of emotional stupor and malaise.” ~Michalina Garus
