Wystawa malarstwa | 17.05 – 30.06.2025

Vernissage: 17.05.2025 (Saturday), 17:00, Platon Art Gallery, 13 Krupnicza St.

Kasia Banaś’ paintings come from admiration – they are to some extent abstract, but always refer to specific places, landscapes, fleeting moments that enchanted the artist. A key role in the painter’s work is played by color and light.

The exhibition will present abstract landscapes inspired by the artist’s travels to various corners of the world. The canvases delight both with the raw scenery of the Faroe Islands, the extraordinary light of the Mediterranean coast, but also with the landscapes of Poland and the Wroclaw area, which have always been close to the painter’s heart.

The common denominator of all the presented works is a fleeting moment of delight, which the artist wished to preserve on canvas forever.
– “Inspiration is everywhere, in every contact with nature, and the simple things are the most beautiful. I want my works to be like the pictures of “secrets” that we made as children, burying colorful papers, leaves, flower petals in the sand under glass. And whoever finds them, let him play with reading their meanings, let them make him happy.”
– reveals the author, Katarzyna Banaś.
