Nielot is a polish word describing flightless bird. An exhibition “Nielot” is an investigation of artist’s condition. Michał Sikorski works in artistic community for 20 years, but still he tries to work with new forms of expression, he feels unsatisfied, a lot of questions in his mind stay with no answer. Ambiguity, everlasting dilemmas and anxiety are characteristic that attend to art. Analogy to that is flightless bird, which in this case we can to look upon more as a state of mind than characteristic.
Michał Sikorski born 30.01.1972 in Częstochowa. Studies on the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław on Painting and Sculpture Department in Studio of Painting and Drawing led by Prof. Stanisław Kortyka. Diploma in the painting in 1998. He lives and is creating in Wrocław. From 2007 has been working as assistant in Studio of Painting on the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław. Doctoral student on the same Academy. Michał Sikorski is dealing with painting, film, music, performances live act.
